Sensory Room

At Charlton Manor, you can step into a Tardis and enter different learning experiences filled with wonder and awe! Our sensory room uses innovative technology to create an immersive environment using wrap-around imagery; smells; smoke and wind effects as well as vibration to allow children to experience otherwise inaccessible learning opportunities. From space launches to huddling in a World War 2 bomb shelter, children are able to see, hear and even smell what it would have been like for those experiencing it first-hand. These experiences improve children’s understanding of events or environments, allows exploration into emotions and truly boosts their ability to write effectively.
