Technology

In 2002 we started our first radio station with many of our high-profile guests being invited to be interviewed by our radio team. We’ve had many guests including Penny Lancaster and Jamie Oliver as well as Levi Roots and the production team from Channel 5’s Milkshake!

Moving forward, the new TV Studio and Radio Room was opened in 2016 by radio DJ Dave Berry and now also features a professional green screen facility enabling the children to present their projects anywhere, from a full 3D newsroom to the top of mount Everest and anywhere in between.

Another fantastic development of technology that we use to teach in is our TARDIS, a learning environment with a difference. Featuring 4 projectors to create a 180 degree experience, scent machine, vibrating floor and wind machine as well as a selection of different lights to create an immersive experience for pupils. Teachers have used the TARDIS for many topics including the Romans, Pompeii and the Great Fire of London.
